NASD Criticized For Deleting Brokers' Regulatory Records

THE US's National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) accidentally deleted several hundred records of regulatory data when improper instructions were entered into its Central Registration Depository (CRD) system.

The story first broke in the February 7 issue of the Wall Street Journal, which reported that as many as 20,000 pieces of regulatory data were accidentally purged.
