Moody's sets up Basle II group

LONDON -- Credit rating agency Moody's Investors Service said in September that it had set up a Basle II implementation advisory group for its bank customers.

The aim of Moody's BIS II Implementation Advisory Group, is to support and advise banks planning to use internal approaches to calculating capital charges for credit risk under the Basle II banking accord.

Basle II will, from 2005, determine how much of their assets large international banks will have to set aside to guard against banking
