Lehman Brothers expands Asia-Pacific corporate sales team

Lehman Brothers has made two senior appointments to its corporate sales team covering the Asia-Pacific region.

The bank has named Samir Bhandari head of fixed-income corporate sales for Asia-Pacific excluding Japan - a newly created role. Based in Singapore, Bhandari reports regionally to David Lam, head of capital markets structured sales for Asia-Pacific excluding Japan, and locally to Jai Rajpal, head of fixed income for Singapore and Southeast Asia.

As head of corporate structuring for Asia-Pacific excluding Japan, another new post, John Goff will provide product content and structuring support to Lehman Brothers' risk solutions group and to the corporate sales team. Based in Hong Kong, Goff reports to Martin Bertsch, head of capital markets structured products for the region.

Bhandari joins Lehman Brothers from JP Morgan in Singapore, where he was head of sales for Southeast Asia. Goff arrives from Merrill Lynch, where he most recently served as a director for rates, foreign exchange and commodities solutions for corporates.
