New global head of structuring at Deutsche Bank

The former emerging markets head at Credit Suisse, Ram Nayak, has joined Deutsche Bank as global head of structuring.

Nayak will join the firm's global markets executive committee and will take over responsibility for the bank's structuring business across all asset classes from Yassine Bouhara, who previously held the role while also heading the global markets business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Bouhara has left the firm on sabbatical and will return to take up a different role, Deutsche Bank said. The bank will hire a successor for his other responsibilities in the "near future".

Previously, Nayak was global head of emerging markets (excluding Brazil) at Credit Suisse, and prior to that was head of structuring for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Before joining the Swiss firm in 2000, he was the head of local currency structured derivatives trading for Latin America at Merrill Lynch, the firm he joined in 1996.

In his new role, Nayak will be based in London and will report to Anshu Jain, the bank's head of global markets.
