High-net-worth investors have typically had little flexibility to tweak the features of structured product investments. But a new platform launched by UBS gives investors the ability to tailor investments to meet their market views and risk appetites. Clive Davidson reports

Institutional investors have traditionally had the best of the structured products market. These customers have the clout to specify product features and payouts, enabling them to invest in made-to-measure structured products that suit their market view and risk appetite. High-net-worth and retail investors, however, have had to choose their investments off-the-rack. The products are standardised and marketed to tens of thousands of investors over a limited subscription period.
