Regulators must make firms reveal climate risk – MSCI, FRR

Asset managers need accurate data on carbon emissions, followed by targets to lower them

Regulators around the world need to compel companies to disclose their carbon emissions, according to index compiler MSCI and France’s sovereign-wealth fund. They argue most big businesses currently fail to provide the data investors need to make informed decisions on climate risk.
