Credit Suisse launches algorithmic trading in Australia

Credit Suisse has expanded it AES Velocity ultra-low latency trading in Australia after launches in Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore this year

Credit Suisse started offering its Advanced Execution Services (AES) Velocity platform to Australia today, enabling Australian-listed equities direct market access (DMA) speeds of less than one millisecond.

The new service is part of the bank's efforts to offer capital-efficient trading to clients. "Speed matters to our clients trading in Asia more than ever before. In response to that priority, we delivered sub-millisecond trading speeds in four major Asia Pacific markets in 2010," says Hani
