Standard Chartered hires interest rates head from Deutsche Bank

Standard Chartered Bank has hired Nitin Gulabani as global head of interest rate derivatives for its wholesale banking business. Singapore-based Gulabani joins from Deutsche Bank where he was global head of currencies and commodities for Asia Pacific.

Gulabani reports to Michael Bass, global head of rates and foreign exchange at StanChart. He is responsible for expanding StanChart’s interest rates derivatives business, focusing on product development and sales across all client segments.

Prior to joining StanChart, Gulabani spent 11 years at Deutsche Bank. He was based in London at Deutsche before moving to Singapore.
