Barclays unveils Guaranteed Deposit Accounts in Offshore Bonds range
Barclays Capital has launched two products as the latest offering in its Structured Deposit Series for Offshore Bonds range. The five-year World Equity Deposit Account offers protected exposure to a basket of four equally-weighted indexes, comprising the FTSE 100, Dow Jones Euro Stoxx 50, S&P 500 and the Nikkei 225 indexes. The account offers a return equal to 200% of the average basket performance, subject to a maximum 58.5% and capital is returned in full at maturity. The investment is available in US$ and requires a minimum of US$75,000.
The five-year Guaranteed FTSE 100 Deposit Account provides protected exposure to the FTSE 100 index and is also designed for inclusion in an offshore life bond. The return is equal to 280% of the average performance of the index, subject to a maximum of 70%. The account, which returns 100% initial capital at maturity, is available in sterling and requires a minimum investment of £50,000.
Both the accounts are on offer until August 28.
