Lyxor launches 'smart' risk-allocation ETFs

Lyxor has entered the risk-control exchange-traded funds market with the listing of two alternatively weighted funds on NYSE Euronext

Exchange-traded fund (ETF) providers have been competing to offer alternative weightings that reduce volatility or control risk and Lyxor is the latest to promise investors an innovative approach to risk allocation, with the listing of the Lyxor ETF Smartix Euro iStoxx 50 Equal Risk and Lyxor ETF MSCI World Risk Weighted funds on NYSE Euronext in Paris.

Earlier this year, Paris-based Ossiam expanded its Minimum Variance ETF range in Europe, with funds based on the FTSE 100 and emerging markets
