Lyxor to list five ETFs on SGX
Lyxor International Asset Management (Lyxor AM) will launch five exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on the Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX) on November 5, with a focus on Asia and commodities. The Lyxor ETF MSCI Asia Apex 50 will be the first ETF to track the MSCI Asia Apex 50 Index, which consists of the 50 largest, most liquid securities in Asia ex-Japan. The Lyxor ETF MSCI Thailand and MSCI Malaysia will provide exposure to the respective emerging markets in Asia. The MSCI India based on the MSCI India index will be the second Lyxor ETF to focus on the Indian market, following the Lyxor ETF Nifty India, launched on SGX in May 2008.
The Lyxor ETF Commodities CRB Non Energy ETF will provide exposure to non-energy related commodities including metals, agricultural and soft commodities via the Reuters/Jeffries CRB Non Energy Index. The index represents a long-only, diversified investment in 15 non-energy related commodities. The latest launch bolsters Lyxor’s ETF offering to 13, making it the most prolific ETF issuer in Singapore.
Following this launch, SGX will have 24 ETFs predominantly focussing on Asian equity markets
