Van Eck launch nuclear energy ETF

New York-based asset management firm Van Eck Global has launched the Market Vectors–Nuclear Energy ETF (NLR) on the American Stock Exchange (Amex).

NLR seeks to replicate the price and yield performance of the DAXglobal Nuclear Energy Index (DXNE), a basket of 38 nuclear energy companies listed on global exchanges.

NLR includes Cameco, Paladin Resources, and other uranium miners as well as Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Kajima, and other nuclear plant builders. Companies engaged in uranium enrichment and storage are also represented in the index.
