Dow Jones feeling Olympic

Dow Jones Indexes has launched the Dow Jones 2008 Summer Games Index which is designed to track the performance of companies that are official partners, sponsors and suppliers of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

The index, the only of its kind, comprises 33 companies of which approximately half are Chinese. Major companies include Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Sinopec, China Mobile, Adidas, Bank of China and Volkswagen. The index universe is defined as all publicly traded companies which are stated as official partners, sponsors and suppliers of the 2008 Olympic Games by the Beijing Organising Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG).
