FTSE and BME launch responsible investment index

Spanish stock exchange Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME) and FTSE have launched the FTSE4Good Ibex, a responsible investment index comprising companies listed on the BME that demonstrate good practice in corporate social responsibility. The index is designed to underlie financial instruments such as structured products and ETFs.

The index has 27 constituents including Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, Banco Santander, Telefonica and Gas Natural SDG. All companies in the index comply with the FTSE4Good environmental and social criteria.
