BGI launches first Clean Energy ETF to list in Europe
Barclays Global Investors (BGI) has launched three new iShares on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) including the first clean energy ETF to list in Europe.
The three new funds include the iShares S&P Global Clean Energy, and two European Equity index funds, the iShares MSCI Europe and iShares S&P/MIB (Italy).
The S&P Clean Energy Index comprises 35% clean energy producers (including solar, wind and bio-based energy producers) and 65% clean energy technology and equipment providers, such as wind turbine manufacturers and photovoltaic cell suppliers across the globe.
