Harmonising the systems on which it offers foreign exchange and equities to investors into one interface was always going to be a massive plus for BNP Paribas. "If I want to do an equities trade, I can see my equities pricer; if I want to do a forex swap to hedge the foreign exchange off the back of that equities trade, I can do that at the same time," says Joe Nash, head of foreign exchange structuring for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at BNP Paribas in London.
