Senior joins Source as MD and head of investment content

Exchange-traded fund (ETF) provider Source has appointed Edgar Senior as managing director and head of investment content and product development. In this new role, he will report to Source's chief strategy officer, Peter Thompson. Senior was previously the global co-head of hedge fund Capital Services for Credit Suisse in London for close to five years. Prior to that, he was European head of fund-linked products structuring and marketing for Goldman Sachs, where he spent a total of seven years in several roles connected to structured products.
Source has also named Marco Mautone managing director with responsibility for Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Mautone will report to Stefan Garcia, co-head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Prior to joining Source, Mautone spent eight years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as head of European and US equity sales trading in Switzerland.
Berenberg has established a new key clients team in London to be led by senior banker Vanessa Skoura in the role of head of international key clients at the investment and private bank. The new team has been established to serve ultra-high-net-worth clients with international and complex requirements. Skoura joins Berenberg from HSBC Private Bank, prior to which she held roles with ABN Amro Bank and Credit Suisse in the UK.
Geoff Cheetham, BlackRock's head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa consultants, has left the company to join Schroders as head of UK institutional clients. In this new role, Cheetham will manage more than 20 senior staff and reports to Miles O'Connor, Schroders' head of European institutional.
The asset manager has also appointed Marc Mayer as head of institutional North America. Mayer most recently served as chief executive of GMO, an investment management company. Prior to this, he spent 20 years at Alliance Bernstein where he was global head of retail and chief investment officer of multi-asset.
Schroders has also named Alex Tedder head of global equities, effective from June. Tedder will be responsible for business management and strategic planning for the company's global and international equities team. He will be leaving his role as senior vice-president and co-head of global and non-US large cap strategies at American Century Investments.
Exchange-traded fund (ETF) provider Invesco PowerShares has appointed Bryon Lake as head of Invesco PowerShares ETFs for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (Emea). Lake first joined PowerShares in the US in 2002. Previously, he headed up global business development across Asia and Europe. He will report to Mark Armour, senior managing director and head of Emea.
BNP Paribas Investment Partners has named David Kiddie chief executive of its institutional business. Kiddie will be based in London and reports to BNP Paribas Investment Partners chief executive Philippe Marchessaux. Kiddie previously spent more than four years as chief investment officer and member of the leadership team at AMP Capital Investors in Australia. Prior to this, he was chief investment officer at ABN Amro Asset Management.
Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has appointed Paul So as head of index funds for the Asia-Pacific region. Based in Hong Kong, So will have a dual reporting line to Ali Toutounchi, global head of index funds, and Alan Flynn, head of LGIM Asia-Pacific. So joins LGIM from Hong Kong-based investment company Enhanced Investment Products, where he was head of beta products for four years. Prior to this, he was a director within the portfolio management group at BlackRock.
Mark McCombe, BlackRock's Asia-Pacific chairman, has been named global head of the institutional client business and chairman of BlackRock Alternative Investors. Based in New York, he will succeed Rob Goldstein in this role following Goldstein's appointment as BlackRock's chief operating officer.
Ryan Stork has been named as head of BlackRock Asia-Pacific, effective June 1. He will relocate to Hong Kong from New York. McCombe will continue to serve as Asia-Pacific chairman until the end of 2014. Stork will assume the chairman role at the end of the year.
BNY Mellon Investment Management has appointed Simon Cox as a managing director and investment strategist for Asia-Pacific. Cox joins from The Economist magazine. Cox will be a part of the firm's global investment strategy team and provide in-depth analysis to clients and portfolio managers on the region's dynamic economies. Based in Hong Kong, Cox reports to Jack Malvey, chief global market strategist for investment management in New York.
