Groothaert exits UBS structured products role

Johan Groothaert, the former managing director and global head of investment products and platforms at UBS in London, has left the bank. Groothaert left in January, according to sources, after joining in April 2011 when the Swiss bank bought London-based structured products boutique Luxembourg Financial Group (LFG), where he was chief executive.

UBS bought LFG for €25 million and incorporated Groothaert and the firm's 22 employees into an investment products and platforms group in its equities
