Market snapshot: Deutsche Bank back in the US

Deutsche Bank returned to the top three most prolific issuers in the US in July, while Japanese underlyings also proved popular. Investec dominated in the UK. Tim Mortimer reports on the latest trends in the US and UK structured products markets

Deutsche Bank was the second most prolific issuer of structured products listed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission in July. With $166 million of new product listed, the German bank leapt from thirteenth to second in the volume league for the month, after selling only $13 million of products in June.

Bank of America was again the most productive issuer in the US, increasing its notional to $462 million. Third was HSBC and its $156 million of products, which accounted for more than a 4
