Market snapshot: US investors pile into leveraged return notes

Tim Mortimer analyses the latest monthly trends in the US and UK structured product markets

In February, the most popular products in the US by both the number issued and the notional amount were, once again, leveraged return notes. The products secured almost 39% of market share in terms of the number of products launched and $747 million (68%) of the total notional amount for the month.

Autocallable notes were the second most popular product type, attracting $92 million of investment, a market share of more than 8% based on the notional amount.
