ETF trading surges in September; iShares more positive on UK equities; IFAs preferring income products; China's luxury good market set for shake-up

The first week of September saw a 21% surge in equity exchange-traded fund (ETF) trading in Europe, according to research from ETF provider Lyxor. Underlying equity market activity, measured by Stoxx Europe 600 Index turnover, rose 20% to reach €108 billion over the same period. Reported on-exchange trading for equity exchange-traded products (ETPs) in Europe was 10.16% of the equivalent equity market activity during the first week of September.
