US structured products offer European equities in long tenors

Despite the recent poor performance of European equities, three US banks have registered leveraged return notes based on the Euro Stoxx 50 Index in a single week, some with unusually long maturities

US investors are being offered a taste of the European equity market via products linked to the Euro Stoxx 50 Index. In registrations with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in the week ending July 6, three separate banks chose the European benchmark as an underlying for their publicly listed structured products. Only six other products linked to the Euro Stoxx 50 have been registered with the SEC during the whole of this year.
