S&P licenses new Italy LargeMidCap index to JP Morgan for bespoke products

JP Morgan is to use S&P Indices' new Italy LargeMidCap Index as the basis for bespoke structured products

Following S&P Indices' launch of the Italy LargeMidCap Index on May 14, JP Morgan will use the index for the creation of structured products and funds.

"The index meets requirements from investors for a tradable gauge into the large- and mid-cap segments of the S&P Italy Broad Market Index (BMI)," says Vinit Srivastava, director of strategy indexes at S&P Indices in New York.

In addition to including stocks that represent the top 85% of the float-adjusted market capitalisation within the S&P
