Profile: Halifax Share Dealing

The UK structured products market has become an area of interest for stockbrokers and most traditional stockbrokers are now active in the territory. One of the newest entrants is home-grown. Damian Stansfield, managing director of Halifax Share Dealing, talks to Magda Ali and Hannah Collins

Halifax Share Dealing is a small fish in the big UK structured products market. When it first formed as a broker - as part of Halifax, which is part of Lloyds - its focus was predominantly on supporting customers buying and selling Halifax shares.

"We are now what you would call an execution-only stockbroker, typically providing investors with a series of investment products: equities, bonds, gilts, exchange-traded funds and exchange-traded commodities," says Damian Stansfield, managing director
