John Redwood: bondholders should take some pain

John Redwood’s views on Europe are well-known from when he stood against John Major for leadership of the UK’s ruling Conservative party in 1995. Redwood stood on a Eurosceptic ticket, arguing that Britain should not join the single currency. In the event, he lost the party vote and John Major struggled on until the 1997 election, when the Conservative party lost power.
