Static commodity indexes give way to more sophisticated products

The commodity exchange-traded product universe now includes 145 products with total assets of more than $100 million each and represents a growing market open to new strategies that are slowly taking over traditional, static benchmark commodity indexes.

Driven by increased demand from investors for more flexible and enhanced ways of gaining exposure to commodities, as well as the swift rise in interest from private banking, more sophisticated approaches are being developed to tackle rolling cost
