Standard & Poor's to create head of structured products role in bid to woo distributors

The index provider says it plans to name a structured products head to take charge of aggressive outreach efforts to the distributor community

Standard & Poor's (S&P) is to hire a head of structured products for S&P Indexes to take charge of its structured products channel, addressing challenges and exploiting opportunities it faces in the market.

"We are committed to the structured products business," says Srikant Dash, managing director at S&P Indexes in New York. "We want to increase our efforts to reach out directly to distributors and make them more aware of our innovative index offerings beyond the headline indexes they are
