Barclays' ETNs provide exposure to single or benchmark commodity returns while aiming to ease some of the price distortions caused by changes in supply and demand

Barclays ETNs provide new way of accessing commodity returns

Barclays Bank has launched a suite of commodity exchange-traded notes (ETNs) based on its Pure Beta indexes, which aim to mitigate some of the disproportionate effects supply and demand can have on commodity performance. It hopes to match the $2 billion outstanding of over-the-counter trades already linked to the indexes.

There are 18 new ETNs providing exposure to single commodities, broad access to industrial and precious metals, livestock and agriculture or benchmark exposure to the Barclays
