Over the last few weeks plan managers have stamped their mark on the UK structured products market with a ream of products offering diversification from the FTSE 100.

Gilliat Financial Solutions kicked off the trend with its precious metals kick-out plan based on commodities. The product is a six-year investment based on the prices of gold, silver and platinum.
