US distributor Advisors Asset Management made the right call in choosing principal protection over reverse convertibles before the economic storm, and is now seeing a push towards equity, income and interest-rate products.

US-based investment firm Advisors Asset Management (AAM) has been distributing structured products since March 2006. Formerly Fixed Income Securities, AAM has been deeply rooted in fixed-income for nearly 30 years. Selling to the independent broker-dealer market and retail advisers, the distributor has seen a drive towards equity and interest-rate products in the last two years.
