Horizons narrowing for Greece as Lazard rules out restructuring

Restructuring Greece's debt burden is out of the question, according to Lazard, the US financial services company hired as advisers by the Greek government. In a brief statement, Lazard said that "a restructuring of Greek debt has never been an option to be considered".

The statement will put still more pressure on the Greek government to fulfil its half of the weekend's €110 billion IMF-Eurozone bailout deal, by cutting public spending in order to reduce the country's fiscal deficit and debt
