RBC adds MD to Euro sovereigns team

RBC Capital Markets has hired Diego Megia as managing director for European rates trading. The hire is part of a push by the bank to expand its European platform in euro-denominated rates, cash and derivatives trading, and to build a European government bond business. Megia has over 18 years’ experience in vanilla rates and inflation products. He previously worked at BNP Paribas, where he was head of the European rates trading business, and also at Commerzbank in Frankfurt and Barclays Capital
