Barclays Capital brings iPath exchange-traded notes to Europe

Barclays Capital has launched the first iPath exchange-traded note (ETN) issue in Europe, providing investors with convenient access to the returns of market benchmark indexes, less an investor fee. BarCap first launched iPath ETNs in the US in 2006, when the structure was awarded Innovation of the Year by Structured Products magazine. The notes will be listed on Deutsche Börse today with trading to start tomorrow, says a spokesperson from BarCap.
