UBS adds commodity note to E-Tracs

UBS has expanded its UBS E-Tracs exchange-traded notes (ETN) platform with the addition of an ETN linked to the Dow Jones-UBS Commodity Index. The UBS E-Tracs Dow Jones-UBS Commodity Index Total Return note began trading on NYSE Arca on October 29.

The note is the first that the bank has linked to the index, which UBS bought from AIG in May 2009 and measures collateralised returns from a diversified basket of 19 commodity futures contracts in the energy, precious metals, industrial metals
