Invesco PowerShares launches two ETFs on Nasdaq

Invesco PowerShares Capital Management has unveiled two exchange traded funds (ETFs) on the Nasdaq stock market. The PowerShares Nasdaq NextQ Portfolio tracks the Nasdaq Q-50, a market-capitalisation weighted index comprising 50 securities, which are due to replace the securities currently constituting the Nasdaq-100 index. The PowerShares FTSE Nasdaq Small Cap Portfolio tracks the FTSE Nasdaq Small Cap index, comprising the smallest 10% of companies in the FTSE Nasdaq index universe of listed companies, ranked according to market capitalisation.

“We welcome the opportunity to trade these new PowerShares products on the Nasdaq ETF market,” says Bruce Bond, president and CEO of PowerShares. “These ETFs give investors exposure to small and mid-cap growth opportunities on a market designed specifically to support them.”
