Carbon and waste ETFs hit Euronext Paris

EasyETF listed both low carbon and global waste exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on NYSE Euronext today. The EasyETF Low Carbon 100 Europe offers investors exposure to 100 blue-chip European companies that have the smallest carbon footprint relative to their sector, which is on average 42% lower than the 300 companies used in the comparative benchmark.

The underlying index was developed by NYSE Euronext in partnership with several non-governmental organisations including the World Wildlife Fund and Goodplanet.org, while its methodology was developed with Paris Dauphine University and subsequently validated by an independent scientific committee. Emissions data was provided by UK environmental research agency Trucost, which has previously worked with other investment banks in this area, and Credit Agricole Chevreux, the bank’s research arm.
