Securitisation boost at S&P and HBOS

Rating agency Standard & Poor’s has created a European corporate securitisation group. The group will consist of about 15 analysts drawn from a variety of S&P’s existing rating practices.

Michael Wilkins, European head of infrastructure and leveraged ratings, and Apea Koranteng, European head of asset-backed securitisation and residential mortgage-backed securitisation, will lead the team.

The groups allows S&P to co-ordinate its analytical and ratings work for the sector. Koranteng
