Seneca rebrands as SCM Advisors

Seneca Capital has changed its name to SCM Advisors. The San Francisco hedge fund says the move reflects its growing diversity: the fund is currently expanding outside its core investment in fixed income and equity to offer more products such as CDOs, CLOs and a new full discretion fund. SCM Advisors raised $2.5 billion in new assets under management in 2006, and the firm expects to match that again in 2007.
