Global issuer of structured products Bear Stearns is expanding capacity globally. But the bank's success in thinking big will depend on maintaining its commitment to detail. Sophia Morrell talks to Leonardo Giangreco

Small is beautiful for the London-based co-head of equity sales at investment bank Bear Stearns, Leonardo Giangreco. He says the bank's relatively small workforce allows it to create sophisticated structured products that its colossal investment bank competitors cannot match.

"What makes Bear Stearns unique is that, because we are smaller in Europe, it allows us to deliver products across asset classes involving different trading desks," says Giangreco. "At very big banks, FX, equity derivatives
