Barclays debuts its tradable structured notes in London

Barclays Investment Notes have started trading on the London Stock Exchange (LSE). The structured products were launched to investors last month at the start of a three-week book-building period.

Barclays believes the notes will prove popular with retail investors, primarily because they offer secondary market liquidity - allowing investors to buy and sell the notes whenever they like without incurring the penalty charges often associated with traditional structured products.
