ECX, ICE emissions options begin trading

The European Climate Exchange (ECX) and Ice Futures' newly launched emissions options (ECX CFI Options) began trading on October 13. The first deal involved the buyer purchasing an option to sell 10,000 metric tons of allowances, for October 2006 delivery, at 10 euros at expiration on October 25. According to ECX the trade was a hedge against the price dropping below €10.

Endex to offer clearing on TTF

Endex has launched clearing services for Dutch TTF gas
