Fund seeks the long and short of demand-response revolution

San Francisco-based commodity investment firm Electranet Capital has launched its first hedge fund.

Electranet Fund I is a long/short public equity portfolio which started trading on April 1. It seeks to profit by investing and trading in US companies involved in the transition towards demand-response technologies and the Smart Grid. Electranet declined to disclose its assets under management but has set a limit of $350 million.
