Naohide Une: switching from sell side to buy side

Naohide Une, Tokyo-based managing director and head of equity derivatives trading Japan for Goldman Sachs, has left the US bank for a move to the buy side.

Une will take up a position at an unnamed hedge fund or asset manager in October and is currently serving out a six-month period of gardening leave. Une was made a managing director in 2009 and started his career at the US bank in April 2000.

He regularly advised hedge funds on trading opportunities arising from dislocations in the equity
