Custodians see global assets rise an average of 9.6%

Safety remains the key concern of custodians keeping nearly $110 trillion in assets in Custody Risk's 2013 Global Custody Survey

Global assets under custody recovered among the top providers over the past year to total nearly $110 trillion at the end of Q2 2013, with custodian respondents to Custody Risk’s Global Custody Survey reporting an average rise of 9.6%.

BNP Paribas and State Street led the way in growing assets 16% and 15% respectively. No custodian reported a drop in assets comparable with last year’s survey that saw three custodians experience decreases and the rest of the field mostly ratchet up low single
