EC committed to providing clarity on supply and trade transparency rules, says DG Energy policy expert

Clarifications on two sets of data transparency rules for European energy markets are in the works, according to European Commission policy expert

Conscious of the energy industry's urgent need for further clarification of new rules, European Commission (EC) officials are preparing two new sets of regulations on data transparency for Europe's energy markets, according to András Hujber, a policy officer with the EC's Directorate-General for Energy.

The first set of rules, which are required under the new Regulation on Energy Market Integrity and Transparency (Remit), will outline the demands from the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy
