Commerzbank launches commodity index ETF

Commerzbank has launched a new exchange-traded fund which tracks its newly-launched proprietary commodity index on the Xetra platform of Deutsche Börse. The index, launched on May 11 2009, incorporates the 16 most liquid commodities from precious metals, industrial metals, soft commodities, and energy.

Each of the index's components, made up of futures contracts, has been equally weighted initially at 6.25%. Constituents include WTI Crude, sugar, copper, zinc, lead, wheat, corn and soybeans. The weighting will be reviewed and published twice a year.
