Industry groups sceptical of justification for new position limits rule, after suing to block previous version

Dozens of companies and industry groups from across the finance, energy and agriculture sectors have complained to the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) about the agency's latest effort to impose speculative position limits on commodity derivatives.

Among the groups to file comments on February 10 – the deadline for submitting public comments on the CFTC's new position limits rule – were the two financial trade groups that succeeded in derailing the commission's previous attempt
