Energi E2 chooses KWI for multi-commodity trading

Danish energy production and trading company Energi E2 today signed up for K2, the integrated energy trading and risk management system from London-based KWI. Energi E2 will use the software for multi-commodity trading, with the aim of reducing its exposure to foreign currencies and daily price fluctuations.

Frank Rasmussen, general manager, power sales and trading at Energi E2, said: “Our business continues to evolve and, with the recent introduction of gas and CO2 into our portfolio of power, heat, coal and oil, we recognised the need for a solution that could scale to handle more commodity complexity.

“Using K2 means we can use a single system for multi-commodity trading, resulting in more efficient processes and an improvement in our risk management capabilities,” he added. In particular
