BNP Paribas strengthens energy derivatives team

French bank BNP Paribas has strengthened its commodity derivatives team in New York, London and Singapore, particularly on the energy side.

Bill Hartz joins the bank as a director and senior trader of petroleum products in New York from Bank of America, where he was in charge of managing the petroleum trading books. He was previously a senior trader at Statoil North America and Coastal States Trading.

William Buchanan joins as a senior oil trader in London from Standard Bank. Before that, he spent several years at Bank of America.
