Credit Suisse took the unusual step of completely overhauling its equity derivatives business in 2009, at a time when other banks were still floundering from the fallout linked with the global financial crisis and a collapse in equity structured product volumes in Asia. The Swiss bank raided other dealers, notably equity powerhouse and chief rival UBS, to fill its equity derivatives ranks with new blood, including Min Park and Kenneth Pang as new co-heads of equity derivatives and convertibles
